Cast Steel
The Shandong Group manufactures cast steel in two ways. Cast steel is produced both via the 'lost wax' production method and the ECO precision casting method, which produces cast steel at the highest possible surface values and precision in terms of size. Cast steel comes in sizes varying from 0.01 to 95 kilograms per item.
1. The lost wax casting method uses a steel mould containing a milled impression of the product that will be manufactured. A rapidly hardening wax is then injected into the product mould.
The wax shape, which is the same as the product that will be made, is removed from the mould and dipped in liquid ceramic. The ceramic layer is dried to a hard consistency and the wax is melted out of it. Steel is then poured into the resulting hollow mould, producing the cast steel.
2. Besides the 'lost wax' method, the Shandong Group also has extensive experience with the ECO precision casting method. The Shandong Group is a market leader in this field. The difference between cast steel manufactured using the ECO precision casting method and the traditional lost wax method is that ECO precision casting uses different, cheaper types of wax and liquid ceramics, resulting in cast steel that has different size units and surface values at a significantly lower price.
