Drop Forgings

A drop forging is manufactured using a matrix. This matrix, which is intended for making drop forgings, is made of a special type of steel that gives the part to be manufactured its shape. When the matrix for the drop forging is made, the matrix is placed under a forge hammer or forge press. The rough base material is heated, after which the drop forging is manufactured under high pressure. Using this drop forging method, it is possible to manufacture parts that have high mechanical values. A drop forging weighs between 0.01 and 130 kilograms per drop forging.
